European Night Research 2020

European Researchers' Night - 2020

The European Researchers' Night, which is held in more than 370 cities on the continent, is funded by the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) -an initiative to promote scientific careers in Europe-, which is part of Horizon 2020, the European Union's Framework Program for Research and Innovation. Its main objectives are to bring the figure of female and male researchers closer to the public so that they can learn about their work and the benefits it brings to society, as well as to promote the choice of a scientific career among students by eliminating gender barriers. In this call for the European Researchers' Night 2020, the European Commission had 8M euros and 100 projects competed. In Spain, in addition to the G9 Universities, projects submitted by Madrid, Andalusia, Canary Islands, Gerona and Zaragoza have received funding.
