Body and brain donation programme

ody donation for educational and research purposes is a voluntary and altruistic act of great importance for the training of doctors and other health professionals. It is not only a question of teaching our students about the human body as a whole, but also about making advances in medical and surgical innovation.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

Personal data obtained through the body donation programme for teaching and research purposes of the University of Castilla-La Mancha will be processed in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), and in accordance with Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights, and the Code of Conduct on the Protection of Personal Data of the University of Castilla-La Mancha ( www. uclm.es/ psi ). Furthermore, all the technical and organisational measures required are put in place to guarantee the security of the personal data processed.

The UCLM will process personal data from the body donation programme with the prior and informed consent of the data subject, which must be given by means of a clear affirmative action.

The purpose and legal basis of the processing of personal data conducted by the UCLM n this body donation programme can be consulted in the “body donation for research” section of the data-processing register (DPR) of the UCLM. This link also provides information on the personal data retention period and on whether any communication of such data is foreseen.

Data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure and limitation to the processing and portability of their personal data, their opposition to processing and, where appropriate, their right not to be to be subject to decisions based solely on the automated processing of their data, by writing to the Data Protection Officer of the UCLM, enclosing a copy of their ID card or equivalent document proving their identity, to the following postal address “Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Plaza de la Universidad nº 2, 02071 -Albacete ”, or by email at  proteccion.datos@uclm.es .
